Why it’s still cool to love vinyl?

If you still love to listen to your old vinyl records from years gone by then don’t be embarrassed to stand up and shout ‘I love vinyl’. The truth is that you are not alone, despite modern technology doing its utmost to take over; good old fashioned LP’s or vinyl records are still going strong.

Over the last few years we have had numerous other music devices come and go, including cassettes, mini discs and CDs, which up until the recent digital explosion have been at the forefront of the music industry. Vinyl records however, have been around since the 1900’s and have remained popular ever since.

Although usage of vinyl records in the public arena tends to be left to DJ’s, there are millions of now rare vinyl records in private collections across the globe. For avid rare vinyl collectors their collections are not just about the medium but are in many ways about a lifestyle.

Loving vinyl is nothing to be ashamed of; vinyl records are now and always will be a great piece of nostalgia which in some cases can be worth millions. With many modern bands still choosing to produce collections on vinyl it seems that even the ‘cool kids’ are stuck in vinyl heaven.

So, go ahead and love vinyl!
